First Dance: Can’t Help Falling In Love With You By Kina Grannis
When I first heard from Jasmine, it was just an inquiry. I hadn’t heard back from her for months, then one day, I receive an email that said, “I’M SO SORRY! LIFE HAS BEEN SO BUSY!” From that day forward planning with Jasmine was a breeze. Jasmine was so kind and she simply wanted her wedding day celebrations with Jim to be close family and friends. With Jim’s background being Greek, that came with quite an extended family, but they wouldn’t have had it any of way. The day before her wedding the bride and her closest friends spent the day at the Elora Mill Spa, the perfect place to relax. Some highlights on the wedding day included their moments alone for first look and also sneaking out for sunset photos, the lion dance that really had the audience in awe and Grandma’s homemade Kourabiedes (Greek Shortbread Cookies) (Droolworthy)!
Including her 4- year old in all the celebrations was a huge part of the day and most important to the couple. The head table was a table for 3. There were two wedding cakes, and instead of a grooms cake, they opted for a cake with a topper that included the 3 as a family. The little man even had the honours of walking his mom down the aisle AND being the best man. What a lucky boy! There were a whopping 23 kids at this wedding. Being a mother herself, Jasmine expected chaos when kids get antsy so we set up a kids table in the corner of the reception room. This corner had cool lego toys, crayons, stickers, colouring books, masks, anything kids would love that would keep them occupied. The plan worked like magic. Once the traditional Greek dancing started, everyone chimed in and the dancing went on for hours.
It was such a joy watching Jasmine and Jim say their I Do’s. The day went by effortlessly and captured so well by Iron & Bragg Photography. Looking through these photos takes me right back to those moments. Congratulations Jim & Jazz!
