Vanessa & Arjang were planning their summer 2020 wedding when things in the world started to change. They were excited and set to wed with a traditional ceremony and reception at The Jam Factory this year, but like many other couples were stuck with uncertain plans due to Covid-19. Vanessa’s parents were from out of country and since international travel was still up in the air, a wedding without immediate family around seemed pointless. Nonetheless, to celebrate their love and relationship, we took to the charming streets of Toronto for a modern and romantic elopement shoot. Without losing their spirits, the couple spent a warm summer evening, enjoying each others company as they walked through their favourite parts of the city. The bride Vanessa donned the sleek minimal “Scarlet” gown by Alyssa Kristin Bridal and paired it with sleeves by Tara Lauren. The stylish bride added a chic white “MRS” denim jacket by Untamed Petals for the chillier evening.
Their stationery featured a delicate hand written love letter on vellum that stole the show. Details including a sketch of the venue, wax seals and hand-torn paper completed the invitation suite. The calligraphy so whimsical, it echoed romance. An all white and greenery bouquet carried the timeless and classic look. In the modern city of Toronto, we captured both the historic buildings of University of Toronto and the modern architecture of the Royal Ontario Museum. Fast forward a few weeks, Vanessa & Arjang was finally able to lock down a new date and are looking forward to a future celebration with all parents, family and friends! We’re so happy for them!
